Generally, the best place to start on an open-source project is where
YOU want to start.

Working on open source is about scratching itches; what itches you?

But, the best place to fish for ideas is bugzilla.

We were keeping a wish list at first, but have been meaning to deprecate
that move everything over to Bugzilla. So, I'd work from Bugzilla for
now.

If you see something there that you want to work on, just pop up a
SHORT-TERM PLANS alert here on the DEV list, and then post a patch back
to bugzilla when you are ready. Posting preliminary changes in a XP
fashion to the Dev list also tends to work well. Craig tends to do that
a lot over in the Commons.

If you'd like to pitch in on the documentation, the DynaBeans and
Modular Application features could be much better documented in the User
Guide. Chuck's book covers these.

A 1.0 to 1.1 upgraders guide would be especially great.

You can post any updates to the documention in the XML that you will
find in the source distribution.

I'm working on the resources and news pages myself right now.
