How about starting with Dynamic Forms. Maybe coming up with documentation or some best-Struts-practices for dealing with forms where input fields are generated and validated dynamically, e.g. shopping cart forms.
Just a thought... --Michael Marrotte -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, May 16, 2002 10:35 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Looking at dev work Hello all. I'm posting this to the dev list. I've got the nightly build going and have been going through it. I'm interested in making some contributions to the codebase. I can come up with ideas - but where is the need? What needs to be done? I've been doing Java for a few years and did C/Unix for a while before that - over 10 years development experience. Built my first website in Perl in 1995. I use weblogic at work now. Doing EJB and web services stuff right now. Have taken apps to production on iPlanet app server, ATG and tomcat. Built the first Tomcat app in Jan 2000. I've got a pretty good background in XML and built a production JMS app not long ago. I've played with Struts for a little while and began building a production app here at work recently. Oh, and I just inked a deal for a book on Struts for SAMS with a co-author. I'll be deep in this code through at least the rest of this year. I'd like to make a contribution while I'm here. Who knows where we'll end up.... Toss me somewhere to start. Else I'll start poking through Bugzilla and start whereever...
