Subject: Re: FormBeans ... as an Interface. From: "Vic C." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> === Ted,
I still disagree. You can do those patterns, committers to Struts can do those patterns, and I can do those patterns. A corporate developer can't! They can do something simpler. They do db tags and sql tags, a single tier and not MVC. I see db tags a lot more than Struts. Some of those classes you mention, DTO, etc, came up to optimize EJB and now are cruft IMO. MVC should be presentation, data and application layer, not PetStore. I think a good design is one that a corporate developer can be productive in. Very very glad you are doing Artimus!!!! No CRUD or multi row update, I see it in to do list. (you know if you used CachedRowSet you would make your life a lot easier. And just make your formBean have a DAO property, and you are a convert) Oh, well, I will keep trying to persuade you, "Happily, post 1.1, many of these issues will start to disappear since more and more developers will choose " (vic) ... JSTL and not Struts beans! Vic -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
