I think this is an important point. All we can do here is "decide to decide". The only decisions that matter come when we check-in code. And, until code is on the table, we really can't decide anything.


Even if we did "decide" to try this or that, I do hope one of us would veto the implementation if it didn't make the grade (and then provide a viable alternative). Regardless of what discussions we have, our responsibility to the community to make Struts "the best it can be" trumps all.

When we get to the part where we can use something like Spring or Hivemind or Cornerstone, et al, someone can post some code, and then we can decide on the merits. And if no one coughs up the code, then we just stay the course.
