I am researching CastorJDO as an alternative to writing DAO (Data Access
Objects). That is, currently I have to write all the SQL to interact with a
database table. It would be nice to perform persistence in a Java-centric way as
opposed to having to write all the SQL. So, to answer your question, no I am not
familiar with Castor mapping tools but have done quite a bit of research on the
Struts framework. I currently research CasterJDO as a possible alternative to
brute force DAO.
