I just recently read a manuscript of Sue Spielman's new book on Struts 1.1. Not to sound like an advertisement, but I was very impressed. It is designed for Java users looking to get a jumpstart on Struts but it is all geared towards the 1.1 release. It's a quick read at about 120 pages but it really does a great job of covering the basics (and some of the not so basics) of Struts. It will be called "The Struts Framework: Practical Guide for Java Programmers" and published by Morgan Kaufman. I haven't heard of a release date yet, but definately keep your eyes out for this one.
