Castor JDO isn't. It's not JDO (standard) - and they tell you that
right up front. Plus, from what I understand, there really aren't that
many folks working on Castor JDO now - Castor XML is very much alive
though (last I heard).
The "mind-share" seems to be with OJB, which will soon support a
*standard* JDO implementation.
