Peter,
While ArgoUML may or may not meet your needs and while it may or may not be too slow for you, it does appear to still be in active development. Check out the news page at:
I think I was talking about the speed Together/C++ or J++ from circa 1999.

Where the most recent entry, when I looked this morning, was dated Novemeber 17th.
I could n't figure it out. But apparently there is a new release.
When I tried Argo UML in October then I got 0.12.
Anyway I got fed with GUI and then somebody pointed me to Poseidon
UML, so I downloaded the 1.4.1 Community Edition, and liked that.
I still don't know if Poseidon or ArgoUML can generate UML diagrams
from source code. That is way I said that prose on Together/C++ or J.
It was really slow on my Windows NT box at work, but it did generate
a handy UML class structure diagram. As I remember the source code
was a Visual C++ Windows Foundation Classes, that is why I was
impressed in 1999 with whiteboard edition as it was then.
I was wondering if anybody on Server Side Java / Struts were
using such tools as a read this thread, that's all.
