A pre-Christmas launch would be most desirable. However, creating or reworking a classic album into an audio/video surround sound masterpiece reportedly takes anywhere from 12 to 18 weeks, even by the most experienced mixers, masterers and authors of high-resolution discs. Too many times, albums created by guitar gods are difficult for the typical music fan to warm up to. These projects sometimes leave listeners with the nagging feeling that everything being played is directly pointed toward guitar tech dudes, instead of the average audience. But a beautiful exception to this otherwise troubling rule of thumb is Is There Love In Space? by Joe Satriani, since its simply an enjoyable collection of electric guitar-oriented music. Granted, Satriani never disappoints with his speedy playing here so his godly stature among mere mortal string-benders is left soundly intact. In fact, many of his solos are otherworldly enough to have seemingly come from some distant planet. But its the wide variety of the styles presented here, and the overall song-based nature of the playing, which makes it a consistently listenable experience from start to finish. They really know how to package these things nowadays, don't they? Having left off the first half of The Osbournes Season Two with Ozzy and Sharon renewing their wedding vows, we now get to see the family doing a bit more relaxing than previously. No one's on tour or doing photo shoots or anything of the sort. In fact, what marks these episodes are birthdays, as both Jack and Ozzy have birthdays within two episodes of each other. Its time for a little bit of rest and relaxation (more than usual) with the Osbournes. With the lack of work we are left with play, which includes anything from Ozzy taking Jack fishing to Ozzy eating pounds of carrot cake while the kids are off doing their own thing. There are some great moments when everyone is gone and Ozzy gets to spend a few precious days alone at the house.
