The Petrel protocol doesn't support downloading a memory dump. The
Predator protocol does, and the Petrel supports it too for backwards
compatibiltys, so you could try that instead.
It looks like the logfile wasn't send to the mailinglist. But based on
the Tim's answer, the Petrel didn't respond at all. In such cases it's
always a good idea to cross check with the manufacturers software, to
rule out problems with the hardware (e.g. the low battery that Henrik
mentioned). If it doesn't work with the manufacturers software, it
probably won't work with subsurface either.
