Are you starting it from your build directory? Subsurface should have all
its paths right when started from there...
you could try copying marbledata to where the subsurface binary is.

I've tried the latest master on Kubuntu 15.10 (beta) and it works when
launching from the build directory. If double-clicking the
subsurface.desktop, the error shows up.
