I've left my dives in 'trips' because that's how they're organized by default when I download them. Until now I've had no need not to have the dives as trips. I'll have a play.
Maybe if there's no trip data, we could at least display a date range (and might be a good idea even if there is trip data). And if there's no trip location but only one dive site, display that site. If there are several sites, display "multiple sites". Rick
