.. also, I think it comes with a USB cable for charging, but also used
for data transfer. It would be good to know what the vendor and device
ID numbers are, because they have almost certainly also changed.

For example, the USB VID/PID for the other G2's are:

                {0x2e6c, 0x3201}, // G2
                {0x2e6c, 0x3211}, // G2 Console

and I assume the G2 HUD is another {0x2e6c, xxxx} device.

The fact that it does GPS is interesting, but yes, it also quite
possibly means that the data format has changed subtly (which is a
very common pattern for Uwatec, sadly - they don't have any sane
"architected" data format, they change their download protocol
randomly and with small changes).

I'd go in to the local dive shop and look at it, but I'm nervous I'd
buy the dang thing and I don't really want to. Even if the GPS is
indeed very interesting.
