Sorry for all the delays. I kept running into silly problems including some self inflicted problem to get the website updated... but a few minutes I finished posting the announcement of 4.9 both on the Subsurface website as well as on Facebook.
All of this took longer than planned and especially the time since the 4.8.6 release was a lot longer than I expected due to my free time being pretty much nil for almost two months... but I'm thrilled it's finally out there. Thanks to the hard work from all of you, for the significant changes to the code, the updates to the user manual and of course to all the translations. I'm hoping that we can do a 4.9.1 release in about a month to clean up any bugs that we find and to finish the undo changes around equipment. In the meantime I will try to get new versions of Subsurface-mobile to get ready as well.
