Position Description | Sr. Ab Initio Developer
About the Organization:
The Single-Family Technology group supports the development, implementation
and maintenance of all Single-Family systems. Our goal is to effectively
respond to the technology needs of the Single-Family Business and lead the
development of the next generation of technology platforms. There are six
primary groups that make up SFT:
§ Automated Underwriting Technology
§ Committing, Acquisition, and Delivery Systems
§ Servicer and Investor Reporting Systems
§ Credit Loss Management Systems
§ Single-Family Technology Planning
§ Single-Family Technology Business Management
Credit Loss Management and Credit Risk Management
Both these areas are made up of a cluster of business applications that are
used to manage Fannie Mae’s credit losses. The goal of these applications
is to closely manage loans that are distressed (delinquent or foreclosed)
and to proactively detect loans that may have been fraudulently originated.
The goal of the Credit Risk and Credit Loss applications is reduce credit
losses and ultimately improve Fannie Mae’s bottom line.
About the Position:
This position will be responsible for working on Single Family REO Tax
functionality. Specifically, this position will be responsible for building
the new SF Single Family REO Tax applications
Responsibilities:
§ Perform analysis, design, development, testing, documentation and
implementation of Ab Initio software components
§ Work under the guidance of a team lead and report status as
required
§ Follow Fannie Mae’s development guidelines, standards and
procedures
§ Provide technical expertise to junior Ab Initio developers as
required
Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills:
§ 6+ years of development experience with 4+ years of Ab Initio
development experience
§ Experience with Oracle and SQL
§ Experience with UNIX internals and shell scripting
§ Understanding of Ab Initio deployment architectures
§ Understanding of change management and automation/repeatability
§ Strong knowledge and use of full lifecycle development
methodologies, standards and procedures
§ Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple
development teams across concurrent project tasks
§ Resourceful and self starter with minimal hand holding required
§ Good team work and communication skills
Nice to have Skills:
§ Experience with PL/SQL
§ Ability to transfer knowledge to junior team members and advise
other developers on tuning and performance
§ Leadership skills
§ Experience with Ant, Rational ClearCase, Rational ClearQuest, and
UCM
