Yes, perhaps. There are many keys. gnome-network-properties controls quite a few. The one that was changed by my test was /system/http_proxy/host Others at the same level include: authentication_password authentication_user ignore_hosts port use_authentication use_http_proxy use_same_proxy There's also a collection at /system/proxy, including: autoconfig_url ftp_host ftp_port mode secure_host secure_port socks_host socks_port Network Proxy Preferences on F11 also provides multiple location choices.
