Dear sir/madam,
I am an engineering student in my 3rd year of B.Tech, and I was looking forward
into participating in GSOC. For the last couple of years I had been much
involved with into Linux and the open source community. I had worked on Linux
systems for quite a good amount of time now and feel myself comfortable with
bash and command line. This is one of the reasons why I wanted the
organisations to work with in GSOC to be a Linux based organisation as I want
to contribute more towards Linux in it’s betterment. So I searched through some
of the organisations and Fedora project was one of them. Out of the ideas in
the idea list the idea of “Improving fedora android app” felt quite the one for
me. I have also been working in Android using technologies like Xamarin and
Flutter and Android Studio. I’ve been working on HTML, CSS and JS since school
times so I feel comfortable with it. Angular was something with which I got
introduced in the college and have been getting familiar with. Ionic seems
something similar to flutter and Xamarin so I believe I can transcribe to it.
Well cordova is something with which I am not much familiar with but I’ll get
it on track right away, I am a quick learner. I assure you I can dedicatedly
give around 35-40 hours a week for this project because I am very passionate
towards the things I like and it is one of them. So if you feel I might be an
appropriate person for handling this project please guide me through some
procedures to make a highly appealing proposal for the same.
I’ll be waiting for a reply.
Thank you
Yours sincerely
Deepank Chauhan
