Hello, by default lane-changing is instantaneous. You can activate either the 'sublane model' or the 'simple continuous lane change model' to change this. See http://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/Simulation/SublaneModel Swerving should then be observable if the leading vehicle suddenly stops. regards, Jakob
