Hi Marie, Hi guys,

I’m sorry to say, but I still was not successful on getting this „speed mode“
bits set. I’ve implemented something

Which at least doesn’t throw an error ;) but in my short little testing
scenario, cars keep holding in front of a all-time-red

Traffic light instead of ignoring it. Am I just awaiting too much here, or
should the cars ignore the traffic light, when speed mode is

Set to 0 (= 0 0 0 0 0 )?

With this said, I at least successfully generated some accidents via either
setting my Ego-cars deceleration or Tau to 0, while approaching the leading car
with high speed. I found this …

“MSLane::handleCollision“

…which deals with the accident and now I am thinking about implementing some
TraCI boolean, which can be queried, to check whether a car is subject to an
accident or not. Before I start working, I wanted to ask, whether there already
is a solution for that, or whether this would be new?

@ Stefan: where have you guys implemented the “crash” animation? Do you stick
with SUMO or do you also somehow send it to Matlab ( I guess the plots are
Matlab) ?

Many many thanks,

marcus

Hello,

to be honest, I was not aware that this method is missing in the current
python-TraCI-client. This is now tracked here:
http://sumo-sim.org/trac.wsgi/ticket/1423 and should not take long to fix. If
you want to implement it yourself, take a look at the implementation of the
setLaneChangeMode() command.

regards,

Jakob

Hi Marie,

I'm stuck at the same point right now. Having problems to understand how the
TraCI Syntax works, espacially in case of a Bitstream argument.

Please checkout TraCI4Matlab or TraCI4J which provide wrappers for Matlab or
Java.
They have lots of TraCI methods already implemented.

Right now I am trying to implement the setSpeedMode() method, because exactly
this one is missing.
But hopefully I am close to a solution as I just found the "traci.sendByteCmd".

Lets see...

Regards,

Marcus
