Hello, there is already some sub-lane positioning in the code when using the option --lanechange.duration. It makes changing last longer and interpolates the vehicles angle and position. However, there are also known bugs in that area. As to SimTram, I believe the only change in input data is the new 'numstrips' attribute in .edg.xml files ( https://sites.google.com/site/simtramsimulator/tutorial). Also there are some backward incompatibilities with current attributes due to being based on an older sumo version.
