Hi Michelle,

The purpose of TraCi is to have access at runtime to the simulation. For
instance when you build your own external traffic control application or when
you want to add detectors during the simulation. Otherwise I'd say it's best to
go with the additional file:

Subject: [sumo-user] multiple loop detectors

Hi

I am a PhD student learning SUMO. I would like to use loop detectors in
multiple edges using TraCi but I don't know how to do it. Can you please give
me an idea how to do it? The example Traci_tls uses a single loop detector.
What if I want to use two detectors in the north edges (one in each lane), how
can I implement it? Your help will be very helpful.

What is the main purpose of using TraCi when you can integrate loop detectors
through the additional-file. I'm quite lost here.

Thank you.

Regards,
Michelle
