Hello Michelle,

I don't know if this is the best method but it has given me what I wanted so
far.

Example of  my additionnal-file:

<laneAreaDetector id="det-S11" lane="-S11_0" pos="-120" length="119"
freq="2000" file="result_lane_detector.xml" friendlyPos="x"/>

….

<laneAreaDetector id="det-S12" lane="-S12_0" pos="-100" length="99" freq="2000"
file="result_lane_detector.xml" friendlyPos="x"/>

There is a blue highlighting surface on the GUI that corresponds to the sensor
surface. We must close the GUI at the end of each simulation to create the "
result_lane_detector.xml " file.

I installed several detector loops on my network and it allowed me to have data
on maximum waiting time on certain edges, maximum queues length, etc. I
installed each sensor so that it makes almost the length of each edge. Then I
transferred the data into a spreadsheet and I could make graphs of the results.
I suggest looking this link, there are a lot of useful information to help to
discuss results of a research.

Hope this will help you.

Regards

François

Objet : [sumo-user] multiple loop detectors

Hi

I am a PhD student learning SUMO. I would like to use loop detectors in
multiple edges using TraCi but I don't know how to do it. Can you please give
me an idea how to do it? The example Traci_tls uses a single loop detector.
What if I want to use two detectors in the north edges (one in each lane), how
can I implement it? Your help will be very helpful.

What is the main purpose of using TraCi when you can integrate loop detectors
through the additional-file. I'm quite lost here.

Thank you.

Regards,
Michelle
