Hello everyone, It is writes extensively in the literature that the programming of traffic signals is a complex optimization problem which quickly becomes out of reach. Some commercial software provide a package which would be able to optimize traffic signals cycles.
1- Do you know if this applies only to isolated intersection or for a complex network with multiple junctions? 2- Do you know what is this approach and if it is effective ?
