Hi Thanks for that information. After setting the recommended options and network size minimizing options, now i can open the complete HK network in SUMO (but still there exist many warnings).
Also, the network which i imported from OSM for the Hong Kong city has many other neighboring cities of china as well which is default in the network since it was downloaded in a rectangular box form. I am wondering if i could remove all the unwanted neighbors of Hong Kong city? I tried editing the network in JOSM, but when i try to copy and extract only hong kong region it says JOSM is out of memory and this also takes really longer time. I tried to fix this issue, but in vain, by referring to the JOSM information: https://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/InstallNotes#Running. I am using the 64 bit version of Java on a 64 bit Windows platform. Kindly guide me if i could only extract the road network information on Hong Kong by eliminating other neighboring redundant information.
