Hello, SUMO only supports microscopic simulation (space-continuous and time-discrete) and mesoscopic simulation (space-discrete and somewhat time-continuous) but it does not support a cellular automaton model (the mesoscopic model could come close with proper parameterization but this has not been tested).
You might use SUMO as a support library for building your own simulator.
