"Apart from the obvious absurdity of believing that any system will last 1000 years [though I accept that the Julian calendar had a good run!] I simply see no need for a change. Those who write software that implements communications protocols should work just a little harder."
Hi Frank and All: I program computers daily, that's what I was doing when I decided to take a break and check messages, I would like to second the above and also offer a bit of insight. Anyone that can't do the correct adjustments in the protocols in question is a DiWIT, and should not be turned loose without supervision! Of course that is just my (Informed) guess.
