Hello dear sundialists,
we want to make a sundial on the shool yard where two of our childrens are
pupils.
We heard that a good idea would be an "analemmatic sundial" where the kids
themselves will act as the gnomon standing on different marked fields according
to the months of the year.
A) Can You help us with the calculation of such a kind of sundial?
Our longitude is 7d 43m 23s (east)
Our latitude is 50d 28m 12s (north)
We are almost in the centre of Germany, halfway between Frankfurt/M and Cologne.
B) Do you have examples of such sundials or ideas for the design?
e.g. Web-links, literature
C) To make the most out of it, we would like to integrate the development and
construction into the curriculum of the 4th year public school (age about 10
years old). Any suggestions?
