Thanks, Luke! Laurel has the wooden models that were used to make the original foundry patterns and, by great good fortune, the pattern makers who worked with Mr. Schmoyer to make the patterns are still working. They were very happy to see the project again and I think they gave Laurel a sweetheart price for the job of making the new pattern.
I have never gotten to see the gnomon pattern but I sure hope that someday I will. It is staying at the foundry to make more gnomons. However, I have seen the new castings and they look great.
