Hi Warren:

At our annual Tucson Gem And Mineral Show in March, foreign venders sell
incredibly beautiful world globes made from inlaid stone. Each country is a
different type of polished stone. The oceans are a dark navy blue
(azurite). I saw sizes from about 4" to 12". They are mounted on lovely
brass polar axis mounts. They aren't cheap!

I will investigate them (sizes, price, weatherabiliy, suppliers, etc.) at
the next show and report back to the list.

I wonder if anybody makes metal spheres engraved or molded like a globe?
