>Can anyone suggest some interesting sundials to see in London, U.K.?<

Hi Achim,

Some I can immediately think of are:

The Equatorial dial in Bromley Civic Centre, The Old Palace
Four dials (Scaphe, Vert S,Vert W and Analemmatic), in the Horniman Museum
sundial trail, Forest Hill London (one may not currently be on show)
Two dials (Vert D, Equinoctial) and a Noon Mark at or near the old Royal
Observatory in Greenwich
One at the nearby National Maritime Greenwich - the famous dolphin dial
Two (Equinoctial and a cross dial) in the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew
Two horizontal dials (one the famous Tompion one) in Hampton Court Palace
One (Vert S) in the Tower of London
A big cast equinoctial dial on the Albert Embankment (side of River Thames)
One (aluminium 'spherical' dial) in Regent's Park Zoo
Four quite new vertical dials on each face of the tower of St Margarat's
Church Westminster (that's the church near Westminster Abbey)

There are many others, some in the city too, so it's always useful to keep
looking as you travel around. Maybe others will have their special
favourites that I haven't mentioned.

Patrick
