[Our server was recently changed, so this posting has been sitting, safely
in Koeln, waiting for me to resubscribe...!]

I've always assumed that it was a Sunquest frame 'recycled' by a
'resourceful' illustrator!
Interest in the topic suggested something slightly different to me,
to wit: I wonder how many other dialists there are, who like myself, have
always wanted to own a Schmoyer dial? Could the financial problem of
putting them back into production be eased, if not solved, if those who
want one -- assuming the price was 'within reason' -- 'subscribed' in
advance?

        cheers,
