Hello all: I was recently contacted by a religious scholar/researcher who asked me to help him solve a puzzle. He wrote me a long letter describing his problem and I told him that maybe someone of you might know the answer. Please excuse my first ever off-topic question, but I promissed this man I'd try to help. I'll try to condense his inquiry for you:
He writes: "All the Appointed Times given to Israel (by the Creater) are actually the appointed times for future events to take place. Many of these events have already taken place and have become memorials and are only shadows of much greater events to come upon the world." "I truely believe that hidden in the heavens is the key that will unlock the mystery that will reveal and restore the Appointed Times (Calendar) that our Creator, Yahweh gave to His people, Israel, which in turn reveals the closing events in this present world's history and future." "In Daniel 8:14 there is a 2300 day/year time prophecy. In the Bible Encyclopedia (see below) it says that every 2300 years occurs the most perfect luni-solar cycle known. What I need to know is when, in time did this last perfect luni-solar cycle occur and when in time will it occur again. I also need to know the spring equinox and the monthly conjunctions of the sun and moon. The Almanacs only give the dates of the conjunctions a year at a time and I need the future monthly conjunctions and equinoxes for at least 21 years." Also do you know if the number 1335 has any meaning or significance in astronomy?" Bible Encyclopedia quote: ""Unto two thousand and three hundred evenings and mornings; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed" (Dnl 8 13:14). Whatever may be the prophetic significance of the passage its astronomical significance is clear: 840,057 days are precisely 2,300 solar years, or 28,447 lunar months, or 30,487 anomalistic months, the anomalistic month being the period in which the moon travels from perigee to perigee. It is the most perfect luni-solar cycle known, and restores the two great lights exactly to their former relationship. This fullest "season" indicated by the sun and the moon is given as that for cleansing of the sanctuary, for the bringing in, as it were, of the full and perfect Jubilee."
