Viking sun compass

Hello All,  Anyone who gets UK television may be interested to know that the viking sun compass will appear on Secrets of the Ancients, BBC2, Saturday Nov. 11th  at  20:10. The programme this week is about the recreation of a voyage in a purpose built longboat, with an attempt to prove that the Vikings hauled their boats over land to avoid sailing around the Shetland Isles (or was it Orkney?)
