Hello All,
Anyone who gets UK television may be
interested to know that the viking sun compass will appear on Secrets of the
Ancients, BBC2, Saturday Nov. 11th at 20:10. The programme this
week is about the recreation of a voyage in a purpose built longboat, with an
attempt to prove that the Vikings hauled their boats over
land to avoid sailing around the Shetland Isles (or was it
Orkney?)
