There is one interesting thing you can do which doesn't even involve
that messy business of going out of doors.

Go to the NASS Website and click on "Current Data". Observe the map and
note the shape of the terminators.

On the Equinox they will be straight vertical lines dividing the earth
into equal areas of sunlight and darkness - instead of the usual "sine
wave" curve. If you go now you can see the lines approaching that shape.
