Fellow Shadow Watchers

Further to comments from John Carmichael and Jim Tallman I too always use
silicone for just the reasons they have stressed. A useful extra tip is
to drill three holes in a triangle near the extremities of the dial with
brass woodscrews inserted into plugs in the holes. The screws can then
be adjusted to level the dial plate before any silicone adhesive is
applied while also setting the thickness of the adhesive layer. Surround
the area with masking tape to catch any unwanted spread, apply the
silicone in a liberal spiral and then press down onto the screw heads.

I like the idea of BLACK silicone...never thought of that!
