In the far north of Iceland, there is a large ring of wooden figures laid out as a sundial in a park called Kjarnastogar, near the town of Akureyi. The gnomon is vertical and the hour markers are equally spaced - not quite correct, but given the latitude of about 65 degrees, it may not be too far off.
