Thanks for the replies received so far, (from John Pickard & Hank de Wit).

Hank's search (via "Google"), had actually found our existing Distributor!
"KyroSkuro" is a company in Toormina, NSW - run by ex-scot Duncan Waldron,
who has been our Distributor in the 'East' of Australia for about 3 years.

With an up-surge of interest in 'Human Sundials' caused by the Millennium,
I would like to increase our Distributor-base around the world (especially
the Southern Hemisphere) - hence my recent message on this "Mailing List".

I have already contacted John Ward ("Sundials Australia"), but he is semi-
retired - and would prefer not to be involved in a 'high-volume' business,
as he is quite happy to make small numbers of high-quality metal sundials.

>From my own point of view, it is obviously better to contact some existing
'Sundial' businesses first (because they already know how profitable these
can be) - before trying to attract other people as a 'Distributor' for us.
Most people seem to think of 'Sundials' as being "old technology with low-
volume sales" (which is ideal for discouraging 'rivals' to start-up) - but
also making it difficult to convince people of the large profit potential!

Bear in mind that a 'Human Sundial' business can also have some profitable
side-line activities (such as producing kits in a wide range of materials,
plus actually installing the "Sunclocks") - as well as our 'core' business
of supplying sets of personalized Layout Plans, mainly to Primary Schools.
Each layout automatically becomes its own 'advertisement', of course - and
which leads to an ever-expanding chain reaction of future referral orders.

It looks like we could have representation in South Africa (Ken Warwick in
Durban) and perhaps South America (Daniel Verschatse in Santiago) - but we
really still need anyone to cover western and southern parts of AUSTRALIA.
Apart from the lower population density, Queensland and Northern Territory
are mostly within the Tropics - where we don't recommend 'Human Sundials',
(although we would still supply our "Sunclock" Plans if customers insist).
We will even consider New Zealand, although that is a fairly small market.

I will try John Pickard's suggestion, of going through the membership list
of the "British Sundial Society" (if I can find my own copy!) - but if any
members of this "Sundial Mailing List" know someone who may be looking for
a 'niche market' business opportunity, then please ask them to contact me.
This is not restricted to my current requirement for any representation in
west/southern Australia - you could be ANYWHERE in the world, and remember
that it costs nothing to be our Distributor plus all profits are your own.

Douglas Hunt.
