For one of the introductory chapters of the upcoming
catalogue of the sundial collection at the National
Maritime Museum we are in need of an image of the dial made
by Henry Wynne for the Earl of Southesk, set up at Kinnaird
Castle. The castle doesn't seem to be able to supply one
(and doesn't even know which is the Wynne dial), and the
costs to send the NMM photographers up there would be
prohibitive. I'm looking for an image by the end of the
month. Does anyone have a publishable quality image
(meaning one that Oxford University Press will find
acceptable) of the dial, showing the equation of time
table, or do they know of anyone who might?
