While I have no knowledge of the dial maker's current location, I have a little information that may be of interest.

Based on a photograph in an article May 10, 1987 Record newspaper in New Jersey, USA,  I purchased his "clown" sundial from the local source who apparently only had one for sale.   According to the source, the maker is Andre Wallace from England.

The dial is unusual.  It is 18" in diameter and made from a resin stiffened with bronze dust.  The clown breaks through a hoop held in his hands; he ( I presume its a "he") holds an irish whistle in his mouth that functions as the style.  The hour marks on the periphery are based on daylight savings time  so that "1" replaces the "12".  It currently hangs on a wall in my home;  I guess I don't feel that it is secure outside!
