Greetings, fellow dialists

I tried to send this signal earlier but have been having transmission
problems for some time. Apologies if you receive it more than once.

Do any of our interested parties have any comments upon the accuracy of
equation of time results from the "NavPac and Compact Data 2001-2005"
publication of Hohenkerk and Yallop (Stationery Office, London, 2000)? I
enter the five sun values for the current month into my pocket
calculator and a little preset programme gives me the equation of time
and declination for any moment in that month (down to a second if I
wish). I take the values on trust.

By the way, I work out my sundial problems on the same (HP42S)
calculator, also with my preset programmes. I know there are grander
ways of doing this but it works. Thanks in advance for any response.

Frank 55N 1W (or thereabouts).
