Hi all
I would like to purchase a large vernier protractor with the
straight edges being about 2 feet (600mm) long. I have a small vernier
protractor by MOORE and WRIGHT Sheffield England but the straight edges
are only about 150 mm long. I need the large protractor for making large
sundials. Can anyone help me with the name of a maker and/or a source
for one?
One way that I thought that I could measure angles (for a large sundial)
is to make a large one myself by hinging two straight edges together
(each about 600mm long) and then use trigonometric functions to measure
the angles. Has anyone got any ideas on measuring angles.
