I am here again to notice you a second new book, written by me, on
history of gnomonic and just printed out two days ago. This little book is
(of course) in Italian language and explains the history of an ancient Roman
sundial (roofed dial) existing here in Ravenna, Italy, until the 1591. An
eartquake destroied it and people keep the memory. The book, then, try to
analise this particular kind of instrument and give the notice of a new
finding in the same City.
At the end two chapters tells how to construct the orizontal and vertical
Hemisphaerium with the help of geometry, mathematics and computer programs.
