Thanks to all who have sent me helpful advice and comments on the "Buyer's Guide" I put on my web page.
Some I have incorporated, and some not.
I was trying to give very simple advice to non-sundial enthusiasts, who just would like one in their garden, and are thinking of buying one "off-the-shelf", just so that they don't get a hopeless one.  I thought some of the suggestions were a bit too complex for the downright novice to follow.

To the doubters, I really have seen one with a twisted gnomon - it has a Welsh Dragon motif, with a twisted tail as the gnomon.  It's in my local garden centre.  I'll try to get a photo of it.

Thanks to all on this wonderful list.
