Hello John,

Please excuse me for not answering your letter immediately, but I just got back from a whirlwind weekend trip to Chicago last night.

I had not thought that I would write up my Delta Cad talk because my talk will rely heavily on showing the Delta Cad program and other sundial programs projected onto the conference room video screen.  I want to show people what buttons to push and how to use the mouse and keyboard.  It would be impossible to put this hands-on talk into an article.  But, I will be making a printed handout that will list in order the necessary steps for using Delta Cad to design a sundial.  I'll send you a copy of that when I get it done. No charge!

You letter just confirms that there is a lot of interest in this topic.

John C.

Subject: NASS Delta Cad presentation

Hello John,
I will not be attending the NASS conference, but I would just love to have access to the information you will be presenting at the conference.  That thought led to considering that you may be interested in putting together an instructional manual that would take a student from the process of designing a sundial through the construction of it, using Delta Cad as a design platform.  If you would be so inclined, to put together such a publication, I would like to be at the beginning of the line to purchase it.  I bought Delta Cad some months ago,for the purpose of designing sundials, but have not really gotten into using it very seriously.  And so it is, with the understanding that you have put a lot of time and work into developing Delta Cad as a specific tool when you design sundials, that I would be very appreciative to pay for your presentation.
Thank you for your contribution to this effort!
