Hello Dialists:

For those of you considering using the new Windows 7 operating system, but
are worried that your favorite dialing software might be incompatible, I
have tested it with most of the popular dialing software and the results are
good! I've tested it on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. Here are the
results:

Windows 7 on 32-bit systems:

Alemma 1.2 by Helmut Sonderegger- yes!

Cardinal Directions Calculator by Precision Sundials- yes!

Delta CAD 7.0 by Midnight Software- yes!

Dialist Companion 1.1 by Fred Sawyer & Robert Terwilliger- yes!

Orologi Solari 18.9 by Gian Casalegno- yes!

Shadows Pro 3.1.1 by Francois Blayteron- yes!

Sonne 2.20a by Helmut Sonderegger- yes!

StundLin 1.02 by Helmut Sonderegger- yes!

Sun 5.6 by R. Cernic- yes!

Wall Declination Calculator by Precision Sundials- yes!

ZW2000 1.2 by Fer de Vries-yes!

ZW2000 2.0 by Fer de Vries-yes!

Windows 7 on 64-bit systems:

Alemma 1.2 by Helmut Sonderegger- yes!

Cardinal Directions Calculator by Precision Sundials- yes!

Delta CAD 7.0 by Midnight Software- yes!

Dialist Companion 1.1 by Fred Sawyer & Robert Terwilliger- NO!

Orologi Solari 18.9 by Gian Casalegno- yes!

Shadows Pro 3.1.1 by Francois Blayteron- yes!

Sonne 2.20a by Helmut Sonderegger- yes!

StundLin 1.02 by Helmut Sonderegger- yes!

Sun 5.6 by R. Cernic- yes!

Wall Declination Calculator by Precision Sundials- yes!

ZW2000 1.2 by Fer de Vries-NO!

ZW2000 2.0 by Fer de Vries-yes!

p.s. I've not seen any problems with Windows 7 so far. But it did take 4
hours to install the upgrade version on each computer! Be sure to update
Windows at least twice after completing the installation and defragment. One
immediate thing I noticed is that it boots up quicker than XP or Vista. The
Media Center is greatly improved and very good if you like that sort of
thing.
