Oh, by the way, I have been rebuked for spelling "dialist" as I do, instead of "diallist". In my defence, "dialist" is the only spelling offered in the Shorter Oxford Dictionary. We also have "royalist", "federalist", "herbalist", "socialist", even "evangelist" and many more. Of course, "dialling" is correct UK usage (I don't know what Noah Webster has to say).
