Greetings, fellow dialists, Our local comprehensive school, realising that teenagers are congenitally unable to get up in the morning, has altered school hours from 9 till 4 to the later time of 10 till 5. A small point in Frank King's favour?
Oh, and by the way, I have been rebuked for spelling "dialist" in this way instead of "diallist". In my defence, the Shorter Oxford Dictionary offers only "dialist". Similarly we have "royalist", "federalist", "herbalist", "socialist", even "evangelist", and many more. Of course, "dialling" is good UK usage. (I don't know what Noah Webster has to say on the subject). Frank 55N 1W --------------------------------------------------- https://lists.uni-koeln.de/mailman/listinfo/sundial
