I have created a number of sundial maps using Google Maps. Sundial placemarks
are shown on the Google Map and on a list at the side. Click on any of the
placemarks to see a picture and a short description. Links are included to
better pictures and more detailed descriptions. Links to specific maps have
been posted on this list from time to time so others can use this information.

Like many other Google Map users I have been frustrated when the links to the
maps stopped working. The link would bring up the map but not the placemarks.
Google maps say they are working on the problem but have not yet solved it.
Users have offered workarounds that seem to work. The best advice is to click
the back arrow button in the top right on the page. Remarkably, this button is
live and clicking it brings up the placemarks.

Here are several links to test.

Woody Sullivan introduced me to the use of Google Maps for sundials. Thanks
Woody. I note that his Google maps show the same problem but clicking the back
button seems to work there as well. Here is a link to one of his.

I am using Google's short links. These take you to the long ones but are easier
to type in and use. I also have Google Earth kmz files for all these sundials.
The placemark appearance and 3D maps are better. Perhaps I will post a few here
as the kmz files are quite small.

I would appreciate feedback to confirm the problem and solution.
