Hi, Thanks for pointing that out. That is most definitely an armillary sphere sundial.
That the equator band is a complete circle is not so remarkable – you see that often enough. Some armillary dials have auxiliary scales for the days near the equinox. What is more surprising is that the dial was made for a latitude of approximately 36 degrees (north, presumably), but it is only a short cab ride to Malmköping station, at about 59 degrees north. However, as the equatorial band seems to completely circle the globe I think this piece would not show time...at least not around the equinoxes!
